i saw don last year in florida and his voice was as strong and vibrant as the monument years.i understand that he is planning a few more florida concerts this winter.do you have any information regarding location and dates,as iwould be interested in seeing him again

There are a lot of excellent singers in this world. I could name many, but I can't think of one that has or had a voice to compare with Don Cherry.

You were going to sing at our wedding in Oct. l947 in Houston, but remembered
a few days before our wedding,you were the Medalist in some tournament,so had to be there to defend your Title...we found someone from the choir to sing...we were very disappointed,of course. You were very special to us!

Hi Don, Amongst other things, I'm an old broadcaster, both disc jockey and spots announcer. And I loved Don Cherry's voice and musical talent and at the same time his wonderful golf game. I had the opportunity to comment on both in my career. Now a retired politician and playing golf, volunteer work and enjoying life like you obviously do. Great to visit your web-site, one of the best, and if I could do anything before its too late for the both of us, a golf game would be a dream come true. You can come to my course, the Devil's Pulpit and we can talk about all the wonderful old times.

My brother Jerry recently asked if I remembered a singer, Don Cherry. I told him that I was a young kid in the Navy in 1955 and would listen to Band of Gold on one radio station.When the song was over I would quickly go to another station in hopes that I would hear it again. After his call, I have listened to songs from your album, It's Magic, and of course, Band of Gold. You have an amazing voice,keep singing. Thanks to Jerry I just received your book Cherrys'Jubilee.

When I was a teen in the '60's my mother had one of your albums. My favorites were " To Think You've Chosen Me ", and " Backstreet Affair ". I do not (unfortunately) have that album. Like many things it's disappeared in time.
But the music will live on.

i recently heard don sing. i can not rave enough about the strength and richness of his voice. as a fan of some 45 years , i have never heard him sound better.i would love to see him in person he is still the best popular singer around today.
