Don performed live on his 80th birthday at the Sands (where his wife Francine surprised him with a Cherry cake). The poem below (lower right) was written for Don by two of his fans after attending the event.
"Live" albums always seem to have a special appeal of their own and the album LIVE IN CONCERT AT THE SANDS is no exception.

Ole Don's still got it,
And no one's forgot it.
Women still swoon for miles
Whenever he smiles.
He still get the votes
As he hits all the notes.
And he still stands tall
When addressing the ball.
He still charms the crowd
Where birdies are allowed;
Still everyone's choice
Is the old golden voice.
As Father Time moves
The Voice still improves;
We hope there's much more -
He's only four score.
So how good is Cherry?
The answer still is : VERY!
